I consider this a “gateway” salmon. If you have any fussy salmon eaters then this one should covert them.
Oily fish such as salmon (tuna, sardines, mackerel) are high in omega 3 fats which our body can’t make – this is why they’re known as “essential” fats. Omega 3 fats have an anti-inflammatory action in the body & due to this have been researched to show health benefits for a number of things including reducing cholesterol levels, reducing depression & anxiety symptoms, reduce ADHD symptoms & reducing blood pressure.
Serves 4
Around 700g salmon (skin off)
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
1tbsp soy sauce or tamari
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Thumb fresh ginger, sliced finely
✖️mix all together
✖️chop salmon into chunks
✖️place salmon in with the sauce & marinate for 15-30mins.
✖️place on grill tray lined with foil & place under a hot grill for 10-15mins until starting to caramalise.
✖️serve with brown rice & veg.
